Memo

Date: September 21, 2011
To: English 1311
From: Maria C Ramirez
Subject: The coalition for Adolescents Girls

As I was growing up my mother told me that I can be what ever. My path was graduating high school, going to college, becoming a teacher, and then get married and have kids. But what if I did not got a choose of this path? Well some girls don’t have a choose or some times they don’t get to continue with there own path. In today’s society many young girls are getting less education, becoming mothers at a young age, and getting some type of problem with there body.

Many young girls are become mothers at an every young age. In my high school I remember I would see girls that are pregnant or with a child. Not only that but we had a day care in your school and many girls would sometimes transfer to that school, because for the parent hood program and the day care for mothers. Half of this girls that become mothers don’t go to college because they start to work.

In the organization of “The Coalition for Adolescent Girls” they believe that adolescent’s girls are the key to changing the course of global poverty. In this organization is to all the girls worldwide that leave school early, marry or have children at a young age. The organization helps girls to see the real world that is happening. The way that is helps is by giving the girls a second path for there life. The path that is laid down by poverty is leaving school early, marry to young, and miss the chance to reach her human potential. They believe that girls are the only way to break the cycle of poverty.

They talk to the girls from 10-18 of age, about how different and difficult it is to leave school, have kids, and health problems they can get (HIV). This organization has been successful, if we would have more programs or organization like this in the USA ; I think it would bring the statistics of young mothers and the health problem down. As a girl I would also like for others girls to have the same opportunity as I did.

Building peace

Well what greag stated was a good idea it gave them a children opportunity to get an education. Even though it all stated as a thanks for helping him while he got better or up in his feet, after wondering off from this group. People in the central Asia not need help only in getting a education but in others systems like in water; they walk to get water and most of the time is not even clean water. They can also get supplies for school as to pencils and paper things like that because it look that they were using stone and Inc.But as what Greg stated was a good idea because they open more schools and even more learning skills for life, and they have now like a scholarship for who ever wants to continue to go to school.

Peace

When I hear the word peace the first thing that comes to mine is the symbol peace and freedom fighters, the many people that fight for there believes and there Right. Suing the 70s many people call the hippies, believe in peace they would also would also wear the peace symbol. The hippies were also freedom fighters they believe in no war or any violence. Not only the hippies but also people like Ross parks, Martin Luther king and others.
