Subject: The coalition for Adolescents Girls

As I was growing up my mother told me that I can be what ever. My path was graduating high school, going to college, becoming a teacher, and then get married and have kids. But what if I did not got a choose of this path? Well some girls don’t have a choose or some times they don’t get to continue with there own path. In today’s society many young girls are getting less education, becoming mothers at a young age, and getting some type of problem with there body.

Many young girls are become mothers at an every young age. In my high school I remember I would see girls that are pregnant or with a child. Not only that but we had a day care in your school and many girls would sometimes transfer to that school, because for the parent hood program and the day care for mothers. Half of this girls that become mothers don’t go to college because they start to work.

In the organization of “The Coalition for Adolescent Girls” they believe that adolescent’s girls are the key to changing the course of global poverty. In this organization is to all the girls worldwide that leave school early, marry or have children at a young age. The organization helps girls to see the real world that is happening. The way that is helps is by giving the girls a second path for there life. The path that is laid down by poverty is leaving school early, marry to young, and miss the chance to reach her human potential. They believe that girls are the only way to break the cycle of poverty.

They talk to the girls from 10-18 of age, about how different and difficult it is to leave school, have kids, and health problems they can get (HIV). This organization has been successful, if we would have more programs or organization like this in the USA ; I think it would bring the statistics of young mothers and the health problem down. As a girl I would also like for others girls to have the same opportunity as I did.

  1. good job relating your organization to your own life. the only suggestion I would make would be to include ways that your organization communicates its message to the public.
